In order to facilitate the effective implementation of the budgetary authority by the Parliament, on September 22-23 of this year, the Training Center of the Parliament of Georgia organized a remote training on "Macroeconomic Environment Assessment and Monitoring" for the staff of the Parliamentary Sectoral Committees.
The training was led by Vakhtang Chalapeikrishvili, Head of the Macroeconomic Analysis and Tax Policy unit of the Parliamentary Budget Office of Georgia.
The training discussed the macroeconomic framework of the country and the role of the Parliamentary Budget Office, as well as the reporting policy of the Parliamentary Budget Office and the macroeconomic and fiscal forecasts for the medium term prepared within the policy, alternative scenarios, periodic macroeconomic forecasts, monthly, quarterly and annual macroeconomic review documents.
